The Story of Corn Creek
- This event has passed.
June 17, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Part of Lost City Museum’s Guest Lecturer Series:
Just outside of Las Vegas in the Desert National Wildlife Refuge where history, prehistory, modern, and wildlife meet. The Southern Paiute and their ancestors called this region home for thousands of years. In the last 300 years with the western movement of settlers, the area was transformed. When the land was sold to the US Fish and Wild Service it became a refuge for wildlife, a getaway from the city, and a place to interact with the past. Join me in discovering the hidden treasures of the largest refuge south of Alaska within the continental US.
